Today I leave…

In just a few hours I will be walking through an airport terminal, hopefully without any security checks or stops, to board a flight that will take my 5000+ miles away to a place I know too well. I have packed and packed and packed, and at 2 in the morning I have packed again some more, and finally I think I may be ready for a vacation. However, I find it hard to leave for a vacation when the friends and family you want to spend it with is being left behind.

To make matters worse, my team lost. Spain, of all teams, beat Germany 1 – 0 in the UFEA Euro 2008. Now I have to deal with sulky Austrians for several weeks, how dismal. Oh well, thats the way it is in war; you win some, you lose some. As long as people are still celeberating when I land, it will be awesome either way. This is also coming from the asumption that I will be sleeping on the plane, as I haven’t really slept in two days.

Speaking of not sleeping, Wanted was a rediculously awesome movie. Think of the best action movie you’ve seen, then sprinkle the Matrix over it and you got Wanted. If the best action movie you have seen was The Matrix, square the first one and then add The Punisher to it. Thats pretty much the grand scheme of Wanted. Bang Bang shoot Em Up Awesomeness. Going to see that at almost eleven at night with three of the best Baristas around was great. It’s just too bad that for the next three to four weeks I won’t have any latte’s or Mochas to make, which for me is a first because I never take a vacation.

On to Starbucks, I am going to miss work. Sure I have acquired a lot of vacation time, but I would like to see it once every few days, its going to be hard to go without it for so long. So those of you who have Starbucks, appreciate it. I have to have real Italian coffee while I am there. Which, like the Ice Cream, is probably better.

Well, it’s time for this tired soul to pull it together for a few more hours until he can finally colapse into an economy sized chair and sleep for a while. I will update again 5,000 miles from home.
